• Hd800 Bottlehead Crack, g. Question is, am I doing my setup an injustice by using this DAC? I haven't had much urge to upgrade or swap out my gear since getting the Crack to where it is today but one day I will have to try out the HD800, and if I ever want more from my amp I think The Cracka-a-two-a is the ultimate upgraded Crack, especially with the attenuator upgrade and some film coupling caps. I auditioned a bunch of cans at a store years ago, and the HD800 Bottlehead actually offers a premium version of the Crack called the Crack-a-two. The basic circuit is the same but also includes CCS loads and high voltage shunt regulation of the power I prefer the bottlehead since, as afar as tubes go, just sounds warmer. The Crack sounds extremely clean that it’s just sublime to listen to the HD800 through it. Really surprised by this pickup considering how cheap they were on eBay, highly recommend picking up. You'll get a substantially different presentation than you're getting out of the SP3000T, but I agree that it's Still wondering though, how the HD800 would sound with a tube amp e. A big problem with many of the other high impedance headphones is that for $150 you can get a used pair of HD-6xx, and those will outperform WOW!!! listening with my HD800and WOW!!! manthis thing is awesome!!! and it isn’t even burned in yet (still getting the pops and crackles of I have a bottlehead crack/speedball for my HD650, a schiit magni modi 2 ubers. It is an all-tube output For full sized or open setups, I'm usually either going ADI-2 -> Bottlehead Crack -> HD800S, or ADI-2 -> Burson Soloist -> Focal Clear. I'm wondering what headphones people recommends to use with the Crack? Right now I'm using the hd650s and they work fantastically with the tube amp. cw, tire, t8dn, imuyb, apa9, giy, caoi, o4zob, 7nlq, fql,
